Frequently Asked Questions

Will I receive updates while my pet is boarding?

No news is good news! We will always contact you if something arises that you need to be made aware of. However, you are welcome to call, text or email us requesting an update on your pet’s boarding stay. Caring for your pet is our number one priority while you are away. We ask that you please be patient with our response time when pictures or videos are requested as this takes our staff extra time and effort while caring for all of our boarding guests.

Will my dog get exercise?

Yes, daily exercise is included! Please see our exercise page for more information.

What do I bring for drop off?

We supply food pans and water pails during your pet’s stay. You are welcome to bring machine washable bedding, treats and toys you’d like your pet to have during their stay. Toys must be safe for your pet to have unattended. Don’t forget vaccine records (Bordetella, Distemper and Rabies are required) and any medications or supplements your pet requires.

Can I bring my own food?

Yes! You are always welcome to bring your own dog food. Otherwise we will feed our Purina Pro Plan Sport (chicken and rice) at no extra charge. Please bring your own food if boarding a cat.

Can my dog play with other dogs?

Because we board all breeds and personalities, our policy is to offer individualized exercise. However, if your dog is well socialized you may request that they play with a compatible friend under supervision.

What time is drop off and pick up?

We are open Monday through Friday 9am-5pm and Saturday/Sunday 10am-4pm. You may drop off anytime during these hours. If you pick up before noon on the day of departure you are not charged for the day. However, you may pick up until close and receive a day’s charge if your pet is picked up after 12pm. We cannot accommodate late drop offs or pick ups after closing.

Can my dog be trained while boarding?

We offer a 30 day board and train obedience program. Once your dog has completed training you can request they receive Obedience Refresher work during future boarding stays. We do not offer any training opportunities shorter than 30 days except for refresher work.

Do you offer grooming?

Yes. We offer hydromassage shampoo baths and dremel nail trims. We do not offer gland expression or hair trimming. We provide salon-quality shampoos. However, you are welcome to bring your own shampoo if your dog has sensitive skin. Please note that we reserve the right to refuse a nail trim if your dog is biting or becomes too stressed.

My pet takes medication. Can they still board?

Yes. We accept boarding guests who require medication. Please be sure to include a pill cutter if necessary. We will ask for your pet’s medication instructions at drop off. We recommend bringing whatever you use to administer their medication with from home (cheese, pill pocket, turkey, ect). We are able to accommodate medication administration between the hours of 8am and 5pm. We do not charge extra for medications.

Are the kennels heated?

Yes. Our kennels are heated with radiant floor heat and have insulating doggy door flaps in the winter time. Your dog will stay warm and cozy during their winter stay. The cat room is kept at 68 degrees during the winter.

What happens if my pet becomes sick or injured while boarding?

In the rare event that your pet becomes ill or injured, our first call is always to you. If it is something that we can handle (loose stool, a minor scrape, bee sting) we will treat your pet. If your pet requires medical attention, we use Dr. Barry Lueck at Companion Pet of Aloha for daytime veterinary care and Vet Emergency Group and Tanasbourne Vet Emergency for after hours and weekend care. We require a signed vet waiver incase of emergency. The vet waiver can be found on your pet portal when you log in to make a reservation.
